MESCO Manufacturing Plant

M3 collaborated with MESCO, Inc. from Tokyo, Japan in developing a new Aluminum Die-Casting Manufacturing Facility in Griffin, Georgia.  This 60,000 sf centralized facility will serve MESCO, Inc. fabrication needs for new facility in the United States of America, manufacturing car part components.  M3 full design and engineering services includes civil, architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, process piping, fire protection, electrical engineering and limited construction administration.

The factory manufacturing areas includes Die-Casting, Machining, Finishing, Semi-Clean Laboratory; Mechanical Rooms, Shipment Area and Offices along with support areas.   The Casting area equipment will include Die-Casting machines, furnaces and casting robots.  The machining and finishing areas will be automated and includes robots for pressing and deburring.   The semi-clean room Laboratory is for product QA/QC and includes an inspection and measuring areas.

The project site is The Lakes at Green Valley in Griffin, Georgia.  The Lakes is the first Eco mixed-use park in Georgia and requires all buildings to become LEED compliant providing a standard for environmentally sustainable construction. Each lot has been designed to incorporate water quality grading features to help minimize the escape of sediment from the sites. The existing lake dams have been modified and renovated as necessary to enable the utilization of the existing ten lakes as storm water retention or detention ponds.
