GCC Telescope Observatory

Gila Community College (GCC) plans to construct an automated observatory facility on its Payson, Arizona campus. The new structure will feature an engineered foundation designed to support a new telescope and peripheral equipment within a climate-controlled environment suitable for continuous operation.

M3 provided professional services across all project phases. These services include pre-design consultation, during which M3 evaluated site constraints, utility availability, and foundational requirements to inform design direction. During the design phase, M3 worked closely with stakeholders to develop architectural and engineering solutions tailored to the observatory’s functional needs and environmental conditions.

M3 is also supporting the construction phase by providing oversight and consultation to help ensure that the facility is built in accordance with design intent, engineering specifications, and relevant building codes.
