Castle Mountain Laboratory

Equinox Gold contracted with M3 to design a 3,200 square foot laboratory for mineral processing. M3 was responsible for the Civil, Architectural, Structural foundations, Plumbing, and Mechanical Engineering for this project. This was a new building on the project site utilizing a pre-engineered metal building system including metal panel walls, roofing, metal framing, and insulation.

We worked with a local consultant for Electrical Engineering and Building Energy Envelope compliance in California. M3 was responsible for coordination of all exterior design improvements and all interior design. The facility included Sample Prep Lab, Fire Lab, Micro Balance, Chemical Lab, Instrument Lab, Metallurgical Lab spaces in addition to support spaces including office, restrooms and other support facilities. M3 finished design in August 2020 and project construction was finished by June 2021.
