Chandler Gilbert Community College Aviation Hangar
M3 provided 100% full Architectural and Engineering services for Maricopa County Community College District’s Chandler-Gilbert Community College’s New Hangar and Training Facility for the Aviation Maintenance program at the Williams Gateway Airport – Mesa, Arizona. The aviation maintenance education program is the District’s primary response to the needs of the aviation and aerospace employment sector in Maricopa County. The aviation program provides initial and recurrent training for many individuals and aerospace manufacturing/ maintenance organizations. The 15,500 sf hangar area is large enough to house a transport category Boeing 737 aircraft. This facility included general classrooms, teaching aviation labs, libraries, offices and maintenance facilities. M3 recently provided design services for the conversion of the hangar fire suppression system to a Hi-X foam system for fueled aircrafts.
