Arizona Department of Transportation, Safford Equipment Shop

The new Safford Equipment Shop for the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) provides the next generation for equipment repairing and servicing of ADOT’s highway fleet which includes Haul Trucks and Small Vehicles, a machine shop for rebuilding engines and an electrical repair shop. This centralized facility will serve the southern operations of Arizona and replaces the current existing facilities on site.  The technical staffing for the Equipment Shop includes technical and administrative personnel and will operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  This project complies with State of Arizona Governor’s Executive Order 2005-05 to achieve 10% renewable energy and LEED Silver sustainable design. M3 provided project management, architectural, civil, structural mechanical / pluming, and electrical design and engineering services.
