Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS)

The Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS) is located at Apache Point Observatory in Sunspot, New Mexico.  The SDSS is a major multi-spectral imaging and spectroscopic redshift survey using a dedicated 2.5-m wide-angle optical telescope.  M3’s involvement included design and engineering of the 2.5m Telescope Enclosure and Support Building, and associated 0.6m monitor Telescope Enclosure.

M3 also participated in the design of the astronomers dormitory, control building expansion, utility masterplanning and the New Mexico State University Monitor 1.0m telescope enclosure at Apache Point Observatory.
